During November the Hawaiian Islands Humpback Whale National Marine Sanctuary has many wonderful events celebrating the return of the humpback whale to Hawaiian waters. We have links and downloads below to see what you’d like to participate in.

Hawai’i Wildlife Fund and Hawaiian Islands Humpback Whale National Marine Sanctuary have worked together since 1997. HIHWNMS has been an important partner of HWF and helped create the Hawai’i Wildlife Discovery Center in Whalers Village. Hawai’i Wildlife Discovery Center opened in October 2021 and its purpose is to educate and thrill residents and visitors as they discover more about the islands native marine life and the work that Hawai’i Wildlife Fund does towards conserving and sustaining it.

Holy Koholā! It’s Whale Season in Hawai’i!

The Hawaiian Islands Humpback Whale National Marine Sanctuary made this poster in honor of their return and Hawai’i Wildlife Discovery Center is GIVING THEM AWAY at the Center! That’s right! Come on down to HWDC at Whalers Village and pick one up. And… the back has all the names of the marine animals that are on the front – how cool is that? It’s TOTALLY cool, that’s how cool it is.
