The 5th International Symposium on Anchialine Ecosystems (5ISAE) was held in Kailua-Kona in November 2022 and provided a platform for sharing the brilliant research, management and restoration projects going on both globally and locally here in Hawai‘i. Celebrating the Final Shipment of Coal to Hawaiʻi

Hawai‘i County: Your Votes Needed for Proposed Amendments to the Open Space Charter

VOTE YES! Ballot Measure #6 - Charter Amendment: 2% of Land Funds to pay for Staff. This proposed charter amendment will allow the 2% Public Access and Open Space Fund to pay staff to dedicate time to the 2% LAND FUND PROGRAM. Also, encourage your county representative to Vote YES on Ballot Measure # 10: Charter Amendment for the Maintenance Fund. This proposed charter amendment makes changes to the Maintenance Fund requested by non-profits who care for the lands purchased with 2% Land Fund monies.
